The 2026 House for Life is a Lillian 438-D47 with the Monroe façade, a 47-square double-storey home built by a generous network of volunteer trades and suppliers. Once complete, it will feature four spacious bedrooms, multiple living zones, a stunning entertainer’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, a theatre, grand alfresco and swimming pool - all professionally styled to perfection.
The home will go under the hammer in 2026, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Mater Foundation to support premature and seriously ill babies at Mater Mothers’ Hospitals.
“This is where it all begins - a block of land, a big idea and a whole lot of heart,” says Rod Gibbs, Building Manager at Plantation Homes. “Every House for Life is built with purpose, but it’s the people behind it - the families, the trades and the community - who bring it to life.”
The project follows the record-breaking success of the 2025 House for Life, which sold for an incredible $2.45 million, taking the total raised since the project’s inception to more than $9 million for the Mater Foundation.
“The 2025 House for Life achieved something incredible - and we’re ready to do it again,” says Rowan Foster, Director of Corporate and Community Engagement at Mater Foundation. “This build will help fund the lifesaving care that Mater’s tiniest patients need, and we’re so grateful to everyone who makes it possible.”
The House for Life Project is an inspiring initiative built on a long-standing partnership between Mater Foundation and Plantation Homes, whereby a Plantation home is built and auctioned, with proceeds from the sale of the home donated to the Mater Little Miracles program.
What makes this project so incredibly special is the extended network of trades and suppliers from the Plantation Homes family, who come together each year to donate their time and resources to build this home.
Thank you again to the generous trades, suppliers, industry partners and our team for making this project a reality and to the community for embracing the opportunity to be part of something so special.
Plantation Homes are proud to be a part of such an initiative to assist Mater in creating a better start to life for Queensland's tiniest patients.
